Communications Strategy

Pinnacle works with its clients to develop comprehensive communications strategies. We’ve developed an eight-step process that we follow with clients. This includes:

  • Analyse and assimilate outputs from the organisation’s overall business strategy and identify measurement components from the business strategy that would also work for communications
  • Conduct workshops with key personnel from the organisation using structured strategy development tools (to include gap analysis, issue/impact, influence/interest, familiarity/favourability)
  • Create a three-dimensional audience segmentation cross-referenced to definition of communication channels
  • Draft, review and finalise a communications objectives statement conforming to SMART principles (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Results-focused, Timely)
  • Create communications messages with key personnel from the organisation using our framework for message development
  • Expand identified objectives into a communications strategy template to include audience segmentation, channel identification, core message development, and agreed benchmarking measures to map against milestones and critical paths
  • Identify the budget and resources required to deliver on the strategy
  • Evaluate and fine-tune the strategy every six months to ensure that the organisation is successfully engaging and communicating with its stakeholders
